It’s true, they’re not the same as other DC’s, they treat you like an adult, you need to hit targets but it’s not amazon and you’re not overworked, underpaid! There are no incentivised targets, not a robot. It’s got a friendly feel, it’s always inclusive and your voice get heard. If you can get your head into the role and work hard there are career opportunities for you. Progression is down to the individual, you can come in and do a job, or you can go one step further and progress your career. It;s welcoming but you do need to pull your weight.

They are very safety conscious, especially in the current climate, they’ve got COVID Marshalls to ensure everyones wellbeing

Currently there’s a DC in Stafford and Northampton, in a few years a new DC will open in Stoke, closing Northampton, however there’s still scope to join Northampton and build your career path ,even if you choose not to follow them up to Stoke. The new DC will be more than a warehouse, there’ll be office space, EV charging for your car, it’s 600,000 sq ft.

They invest in people that want to learn and progress. There’s also the wider group if you work in DC and have a desire to move on there’s the stores. Groom Room, Support Office, lots of opportunities.

Colleagues feel they can be themselves, they see themselves as progressive, any voice is credible. They feel they are about being human and seeing the person not the number, it’s not a parent-child relationship. That said they know they’re not perfect but they’re striving to keep evolving.

They have fun, support their local community (work hard/play hard – maybe that was pre-covid!)
